College & School Convocations and Activities
Services are available to those attending college and school Honors Day convocation ceremonies who may require specific accommodations based on a disability. These services vary depending upon the specific venue in which the convocation ceremony will be held. Those with need of these services are asked to contact the college, school or department representative associated with the specific college or school hosting the convocation at least five days prior to the convocation ceremony.
University-wide Honors Day Ceremony
Several services are available to those attending the university-wide Honors Day ceremony who may require specific accommodations based on a disability.
Accommodations for Those Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
Sign language interpreting services for guests who are deaf or hard of hearing will be available inspecific sections of guest seating. Reserved seating will be available in the rows located toward the front of the section and adjacent to the arena floor. Event staff can direct guests to these areas.
Assisted Listening Devices are also available free of charge at Guest Services, located on the arena concourse outside of section 27. Guests will be required to leave a valid government-issued ID.
Wheelchair Access and Escorts
Erwin Center staff are available to assist guests to their seats, including providing complimentary wheelchair assistance to guests with special needs. A wheelchair escort can be requested at Guest Services or any arena entrance. An elevator located near the Red River street level entrance provides easy access to wheelchair seating. Please be aware that Erwin Center staff will not remain with you during the event. When necessary, a guest's wheelchair will be stored by an exit door and returned at the end of the show, or whenever requested.
ADA Parking
Guests with state-issued handicapped permits may utilize designated spaces in Lot 118 to the north of the Frank Erwin Center. Enter via the southbound access road of IH-35.
